Ce magnifique cotre aurique victorien a été construit sous la classification 100 A1 de Lloyds en 1885.
Il a navigué et régaté le long des côtes du sud de l’Angleterre, puis, est vendu en 1923 à un gentleman belge.
Partridge retourne ensuite sur la côte est de l’Angleterre où il reste échoué jusqu’en 1980.
C'est à ce moment là, que Peter Saxby et Alex Laird le retrouvent sur la Blackwater river.
Sa restauration va durer jusqu'en 1998. Depuis, le voilier qui est un des plus anciens du circuit, participe presque tous les ans aux régates classiques, dont Ajaccio, Marseille, Porquerolles, Porto Cervo et Antibes.
En 2001, il participe à Cowes à la régate du Jubilé de l'America's Cup.
C'est Classic Works qui gère l'entretien de Partridge dont La Ciotat est devenu le port d'attache.

This magnificent Victorian gaff cutter was built under the classification of 100 A1 Lloyds in 1885. She sailed and raced along the coast of Southern England, then was sold in 1923 to a Belgian gentleman.
Partridge went back to the east coast of England where she remained until 1980. At this point, Peter Saxby and Alex Laird found her on the Blackwater River. Its restoration lasted until 1998. Since, the boat, one of the oldest on the circuit,has participated almost every year to the mediterranean classic races : among them, Ajaccio, Marseille, Porquerolles, Porto Cervo and Antibes.
