En 1929, l'architecte norvégien Johan Anker remportait le concours sur plan qui visait à créer une classe de monotypes de course. Choisis comme série olympique pour les jeux de Londres en 1948, les Dragon ont essaimé partout dans le monde et évolué profondément. Conçus par l'architecte de Göteborg pour la croisière et la course, si la coque du Dragon n'a pas changé, les aménagements intérieurs ont été réduits et l'accastillage perfectionné pour gagner poids et vitesse. C'est aujourd'hui un bateau de régates auquel il est difficile de trouver des défauts. Elouan, après s'être appelé Tigre puis Léon a appartenu longtemps à Pierre Paul Heckly, le président du Yacht Club de France. C'est aujourd'hui Christophe Boropert qui veille sur lui...
In 1929, the Norwegian architect Johan Anker carried off a competition on plans which aimed at creating a class of one-design boats, this was the birth of the Dragon. Chosen as Olympic series for the 1948 London Olympics, the Dragon swarmed everywhere in the world and evolved deeply. First conceived by the architect of Göteborg for cruising and racing, if the hull of the Dragon didn't change, the indoor fittings were reduced and the chandlery improved to earn weight and speed. It is a magnificent boat and it is difficult to find it defects. Elouan, whose first name was Tiger, then Léon, belonged for years to Pierre Paul Heckly, the president of the Yacht Club of France and is today the ownership of Christophe Boropert.
