De Girolata à Ajaccio...

Quitter Girolata, tant cette baie possède un charme mystérieux est difficile. Pourtant, il a bien fallu se rendre sur la ligne de départ et à 12h30, rejoints la veille par Cervantes, le yacht d'Angel Campillo Gallardo, les six yachts s'élancèrent trouvant au sortir de la baie le même vent du nord que la veille. Sunshine prenait la tête de la flottille, de concert avec Moonbeam, une flotte qui petit à petit se dispersait, certains serrant plus à la côte. Après trois heures de navigation, le vent allant en faiblissant, les concurrents durent mettre les moteurs, afin d'arriver avant la nuit. Vers 18h tous les classiques mouillaient à Ajaccio au quai Brancaleoni port Tino Rossi.

Leaving the Girolata bay is quite difficult for a sailor as this unique place always seems to put a spell on you. Anyway around 12 o'clock, all boats, were waiting the start, including Cervantes who had joined the rallye in Girolata. At 12h 30, the six yachts rushed, finding at the end of the bay the same north wind as in Calvi. Sunshine took the lead with Moonbeam, then the fleet scattered, each boat trying to trace the best route. In the middle of the afternoon the wind fell down and the big boats had to light their motors to arrive before night. Around seven pm, all the classics had reached the imperial city of Ajaccio.
